Are These Your Drawings? or Gwen Finds Miles Morales' Drawings refers to a scene from the first trailer for Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse (Part One) where Gwen Stacy takes Miles' sketchbook and sees a drawing of herself, embarrassing him. The clip became the subject of edits as an exploitable replacing the image in the book with a variety of humorous pictures shortly after the trailer's premiere in December 2021.

Origin

On December 4th, 2021, the "First Look" trailer for Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse (Part One), the sequel to Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, premiered on the Sony Pictures Entertainment YouTube[1] channel, gaining over 11 million views in four days. Around the 0:50-second mark, Gwen, who has come into Miles' room unannounced, uses her webbing to take Miles' sketchbook. She opens it and looks through to see a drawing of herself, embarrassing Miles. Gwen says, "I missed you too," and gives him back the book (shown below).

On the same day, YouTuber[2] MrCheezeWhiz posted an edit of the clip where Gwen sees an image of Bully Maguire in the book, gaining over 4,800 views in four days (shown below). This is the earliest known edit of the scene.

Spread

New edits were uploaded to YouTube and Instagram over the following days. The clip also inspired image macros that use screenshots of the scene for the same effect. For example, on December 6th, 2021, Instagram[3] user mastercomics posted a version replacing the drawing with fan art of a thicc Gwen Stacy, gaining over 7,300 likes in two days (shown below). On December 7th, Instagram[4] user fantasciguy posted a version about the death of Stan Lee, gaining over 3,500 likes in under a day (shown below, right).

On the same day, Instagram[5] user video_junkiee posted a collection of three edits of the scene featuring new drawings in place of Gwen, including Thicc Omni-man, gaining over 9,300 likes in less than a day (shown below).

On December 8th, Lessons In Meme Culture posted a video to YouTube[6] about the meme, gaining over 117,000 views in under a day (shown below).
