About
The "Apple" Dance is a dance trend started by TikToker Kelley Heyer set to the Charli XCX song "Apple" off her 2024 album Brat. Heyer first performed the dance on TikTok in mid-June 2024 and continued to post videos doing it over the following weeks as it spread across the platform. The dance begins at the point in the song where Charli XCX sings, "I think the apple's rotten right to the core, from all the things passed down from all the apples coming before." Later that month, Charli XCX performed the dance and shared it online, further popularizing the trend.
