Anime Is An Important Part Of Our Culture refers to the sound clip taken from Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School featured in a series of TikTok videos beginning in September 2019. The sound clip, which included the song "nursery prod.letra" by bbno$, was first used in Cosplay TikTok videos and then evolved into videos of TikTokers stumbling then walking toward the camera on the beat.

Origin

On July 14th, 2016, Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School "Despair Arc" was released and includes a moment in which Junko and Ryota bump into each other and argue about anime. The clip was uploaded three years later by YouTuber Sakuraoi and received over 284,200 views in a year (shown below).

On September 16th, 2019, TikToker tsun.bun uploaded the sound clip over "nursery prod.letra" by bbno$ and used it ina Junko cosplay video (shown below). The video garnered over 3,300 likes in eight months.

Spread

On October 14th, 2019, many TikTokers began using the sound clip "snxuko on ig – tsun.bun" in their cosplay videos. TikToker garnered over 117,700 likes in seven months for her video (shown below, left). The next day, avani uploaded another video using the sound and received over 1.6 million likes in seven months (shown below, right).

On October 24th, 2019, TikToker witney8 uploaded a video using the song in which she stumbles until the beat drops and received over 1.3 million likes in seven months (shown below, left). On May 9th, 2020, TikToker anaocto uploaded a similar video but on rollerskates and accumulated over four million likes in three days (shown below right).
