Animal Emoji Parties refers to a series of tweets which employ animal and object emoji to make it appear as though a group of animals is engaging in an activity.

Origin

On January 18th, 2020, Twitter user @psthursm^[1] posted a tweet that employed various emoji to make it appear as though a group of animals was playing in a band. The tweet gained over 193,000 retweets and 740,000 likes (shown below).

Spread

After @psthursm's tweet, many other Twitter users crafted their own versions using animal emoji. Popular examples include tweets by @ff7e30,^[2] which gained over 590 retweets and 2,300 likes (shown below, left) and @brokeangel,^[3] who gained over 620 likes and 3,900 likes within 3 hours of posting (shown below, right).
