Andrew Tate GTA 5 POVs are a series of parody videos made in the video game Grand Theft Auto V from the POV of victims of Andrew Tate, showing them doing something he doesn't like and Tate reacting violently to them. The videos became popularized on YouTube and TikTok in August and September 2022, inspiring Tate and his brother to react to them.

Origin

The earliest known Andrew Tate in GTA V video was posted to TikTok[1] by @tontchi on July 31st, 2022, garnering over 943,000 views in two months. On that day he posted numerous videos showing Tate beating someone up for doing something he finds disagreeable, one garnering over 4 million views in two months (shown below).

Spread

The videos inspired other TikTokers to create Tate POV videos using GTA V. On August 3rd, 2022, TikToker[2] @Gta5Tate posted a video captioned, "POV: Andrew Tate catches you vaping" (shown below). In the video, made with GTA V a man is shown smoking followed by a character resembling Tate running up and punching him in the face, garnering over 4.4 million views in a month.

The TikToker continued to upload videos showing Andrew Tate reacting to scenarios in GTA V over the following days and weeks, regularly gaining millions of views and becoming one of the most popular creators in the genre, gaining over 770,000 followers by September 12th (examples shown below, left and right).

Tate GTA posted its first video to YouTube[3] on August 22nd, 2022, titled, "POV: Andrew Tate catches you taking photos of his buggati." In the video, made in GTA V, a player tries to take a selfie with a Bugatti. A character that resembles Andrew Tate runs up behind him and punches him in the head. The video gained over 115,000 views in three weeks (shown below).

Tristan and Andrew Tate's Reaction

On September 5th, 2022, YouTuber[4] Tatetrix posted a clip from the Tate brothers' TateSpeech podcast, hosted on Rumble, where they react to the memes from TikToker @gta5Tate, garnering over 74,000 views in a week (shown below). In the video, the two are amused by the memes, with Tate calling the memes "so good" and awarding the creator "G of the week," asking the creator to reach out for a $1,000 prize.
