Anderdingus is a nickname for a child named Zander who appeared in a viral video on TikTok in which he pours two bags of Sour Patch Kids into a candy salad bowl, first saying what sounds like, "My name is Anderdingus." The video went viral in mid-May 2024, inspiring memes referring to it as well as an outpouring of positivity and ironic positivity towards Anderdingus. Later that month, the video was removed and the uploader, Anderdingus' kindergarten teacher, posted a video criticizing some viewers for being negative in the comments, finding the school she worked at and attempting to get her in trouble, presuming she uploaded the video without the kids' permission, which she denied.

On May 11th, 2024, TikToker[1] @tara_3lizbeth posted a video of her kindergarten class making a "candy salad" by mixing various candies into a big bowl. First, the children approach the bowl, hold up their candies and say their name, then pour the candies into the bowl. At one point, a child named Zander approaches the bowl, holds up two bags of Sour Patch Kids and says what sounds like, "My name is Anderdingus."

The video has since been deleted but purportedly gained over 3 million views in a few days (partial reupload with additional on-screen caption shown below).

The video became the subject of reactions and memes over the following days as viewers heard Zander announce his name as "Anderdingus." On May 11th, 2024, TikToker[2] @lahkeii posted a Stitch in which he says "god bless your soul" to Anderdingus and that it's "not his fault" that he's named Anderdingus, garnering over 18 million views in five days (shown below).

On May 13th, TikToker[3] @kurisuxo posted a meme referring to Anderdingus, garnering over 600,000 views in three days (shown below, left). On May 15th, TikToker[4] @thebasicbookworm posted a video with a caption claiming she'd "throw hands" for Anderdingus, garnering over 220,000 views in a day (shown below, right).

That same day, TikToker[5] @tara_3lizbeth posted a video criticizing viewers of the Anderdingus video for being negative in the comments.

In the video, she claims that she had permission to post the kids on TikTok, but some commenters were accusing her of not having permission or claiming she should have gotten second permission, which she says she did. She expresses confusion over why the video got over 3 million views, then claims that some viewers found out where she works and lives and started contacting her and the principal. The principal was purportedly okay with it being posted, but they deleted it. The May 15th video gained over 115,000 views in a day.
