About
And Don't Forget, I Got Ur Whole House On My Wrist is a copypasta and exploitable meme series inspired by a viral DM from xQc to Ethan Klein in which xQc flexes his watch after debating Klein about fair use regarding reaction content on the H3 Podcast, in August 2023, writing, "And don't forget, I got ur whole house on my wrist." Klein shared the DM in the hours following the debate as an example of xQc coping after, in many people's opinion, losing the debate, inspiring people to photoshop the screenshot and post photos of their own wrists while wearing a funny watch or wrist piece alongside the caption.
Origin
On August 7th, 2023, streamer xQc called into the H3 Podcast on YouTube[1] to debate the host, Ethan Klein, on fair use regarding reaction content (shown below). At the time, xQc was accused by some creators of stealing views from creators by uploading reaction clips from his stream to YouTube where he arguably adds no transformative value to the piece of reaction content, often uploading the clips to YouTube with nearly the same thumbnail, title and run-time to purportedly try and steal views from the original video creator. The debate was largely seen as a loss for xQc.
Early in the morning on August 8th, Klein shared a number of DMs that xQc sent to him in the aftermath of the debate on X,[2] further trying to defend his points and criticize Klein for how he handled the debate. In the final DM shared by Klein, xQc sends him a photo of his wrist with a bracelet and an Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak watch, valued around $450,000 US, writing, "And don't forget, I got ur whole house on my wrist." The post (shown below) garnered over 95,700 likes in two days.
Spread
Following the release of the DM, people turned the caption into a copypasta and the screenshot into an exploitable meme template, either taking photos of their own wrists while flexing something comedic and posting it under the caption, or photoshopping other images into the DM. On August 8th, 2023, one of the earliest examples was posted by u/Diligent-Article-531 to the /r/h3h3productions[3] subreddit, garnering over 3,600 upvotes in two days (shown below, left). That same day, u/Kunted_ posted a similar meme to /r/h3h3productions,[4] garnering over 1,000 upvotes in two days (shown below, right).
The meme also became popular on X. On August 8th, YouTuber Linus Tech Tips posted a photo showing a graphics card on his wrist to X,[5] garnering over 80,000 likes in two days (shown below).
On August 9th, X[6] user @FACEITTF2 posted a version of the meme referencing Team Fortress 2, garnering over 12,000 likes in a day (shown below, left). Later that day, YouTuber Leon Lush posted a version of the meme to X,[7] garnering over 2,400 likes in a day (shown below, right).
