Americans Be Eating Cheesed Burger is a purposeful misspelling of "Americans eat cheeseburgers" that turned into a shitpost snowclone popular on Tumblr in which people write variations on the title text with different groups of people and other purposefully misspelled objects.

Origin

On November 6th, 2017, Tumblr user orcpussy^[1] uploaded the original text, "Americans be eating cheesed burger," gaining over 46,000 notes (shown below).

Spread

The post was referenced several times on Tumblr in separate text posts before it became a snowclone. On November 29th, user chefpyro^[2] uploaded a text post which read "Tbh, If there’s one thing I know…It’s that americans be eating cheesed burger," gaining over 6,400 notes (shown below, left). On November 15th, Tumblr user hungwy^[3] used the post to demonstrate the humor of typing Tumblr posts in MLA format, gaining over 68,000 notes (shown below, right).

Soon, the post became a snowclone which various Tumblr users joked with. On December 2nd, user farcryfromhere^[4] uploaded a variation with British people, gaining over 12,000 notes (shown below, left). On December 25th, user gurlukovich^[5] uploaded a variation which read "lesbians be wanting girled friend," gaining over 7,000 notes (shown below, right).
