Although Enjoyment or All Thou Enjoyment refers to a viral parody video of Billie Eilish's song "What Was I Made For" posted on TikTok by creator @queenzziel0cthevoice. The TikTok karaoke Duet went viral in August 2023, inspiring remix versions of the song and memes mashing up all of @queenzziel0cthevoice's videos singing "What Was I Made For" in a different tone and rhythm.
Origin
On July 27th, 2023, TikToker[1] @officialemmawhite posted a karaoke-themed version of Billie Eilish's song "What Was I Made For." The post (shown below, left) indicates parts of the music to be sung by her and the users who'd like to make a TikTok Duet. The video garnered over 4.3 million plays, 293,000 likes and 3,200 other videos dueting her content in two weeks.
A day later, on July 28th, the comedian and TikTok[2] creator @queenzziel0cthevoice dueted the karaoke version of Billie's music (shown below, right), singing the first verse in a slightly different pronunciation, which sounded like "Although Enjoyment" when the original lyric is "All the enjoyment." The video amassed roughly over 2.3 million plays and 338,000 likes in a month.
Spread
The comedian posted several other duets singing the same song in different rhythms, which was turned into a remix meme on TikTok. For example, on August 17th, 2023, TikToker[3] @bjorksbussyquake gathered all of @queenzziel0cthevoice karaoke duet videos singing "What Was I Made For" (shown below, left), which received over 3.9 million plays and 686,000 likes in five days.
On August 16th, TikToker[4] @jordenamir posted a music sheet version of the parody music titled "All Thou Enjoyment" (shown below, right), which received over 252,000 plays and 49,000 likes in six days.
The parody music became a prominent trend on TikTok in which users would sing "What Was I Made For" the same way @queenzziel0cthevoices sang. For instance, TikToker[5] @kate.rebelloon posted a video (shown below, left) on August 20th recreating the meme, which received over 729,000 plays and 126,000 likes in a day.
On August 18th TikToker[6] @amber.mawande mimicked @queenzziel0cthevoices video (shown below, right), receiving more than 143,000 plays and 10,500 likes in three days.
