Origin

On June 17th, 2018, during Brazil's game against Switzerland at the 2018 World Cup, an inflatable red ball had blown onto the field from the stands. Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker ran out to the ball and stomped on it, allowing play to resume (shown below).
