Aliou Cissé GIFs refers to GIFs of Senegal national football team head coach Aliou Cissé coaching his team at the 2018 World Cup during his team's first game against Poland. The GIFs were used as a reaction on Twitter shortly after.

On June 19th, 2018, Aliou Cissé was seen celebrating his team's play by pumping his fist and intensely staring at the camera (shown below).

Spread

After the moment, many Twitter users noticed the GIF and began to encourage the creation of memes and jokes about it. Twitter user @NutmegRadio^[1] tweeted the GIF, gaining over 5,200 retweets and 11,000 likes (shown below, left). User @tweetdeguerre^[2] parodied a quote from Tyra Banks with the GIF, gaining over 1,500 retweets and 4,200 likes (shown below, right).

Another GIF that spread showed Cissé apparently instructing his team in tactics with a strange clawing gesture (shown below).
