Origin

On December 17th, 2024, TikToker^[1] @gogthealien posted a meme set to "Beep Block Skyway" from Super Mario 3D World^[2] in which a dog transforms into an alien after the beeping in the song begins, garnering over 1.2 million views in three months.

On February 8th, 2025, TikToker^[3] @wuszkovich posted a similar animation set to the same original sound in which Gabriel from the Russian cartoon 13 Kart waves his arms in circular motions, then transforms into an alien after the beeps, which he blinks along to. He repeats this and on the final time, turns to bones rather than an alien. The video garnered over 270,000 views in a month.

The trend was further popularized throughout March 2025. On March 2nd, 2025, TikToker^[4] @nirami1 posted a version of the meme that garnered over 2.1 million views in three weeks.

On March 13th, TikToker^[5] @saniichu posted a version of the meme featuring the Pokemon Espeon, garnering over 941,000 views in two weeks.

On March 25th, X^[6] user @clockzoup posted a version of the meme featuring the character Betty Grof from Adventure Time, garnering over 27,000 likes and 2,600 reposts in a day.
