The "Alexander Come Back to Sleep" Trend, also known as the Hamilton Window Trend, is a TikTok lip dub trend based on the song "Best of Wives and Best of Women" from the musical Hamilton in which one person plays Alexander Hamilton trying to sneak out of the house, often through the window, while another plays Eliza Hamilton trying to convince him to come back to bed. The trend was started by TikToker @actuallyhamilt0n on July 22nd, 2025, garnering viral spread throughout August of that year. That month, Lin Manuel Miranda, creator of Hamilton, participated in the trend.

On July 22nd, 2025, TikToker^[1] @actuallyhamilt0n posted a video set to "Best of Wives and Best of Women" from Hamilton in which they play Alexander Hamilton trying to sneak out a window as the song plays. The song features a back-and-forth between Alexander and his wife Eliza, in which he tries to leave and she keeps telling him to come back to bed.^[2] The video gained over 9.8 million views in three weeks.

The video inspired a trend that became increasingly popular over the following weeks. For example, TikToker Ashby Florence (@_ashbyflorence_) uploaded a video on August 1st, 2025, which accumulated nearly 20 million views, 2.4 million likes and 12,500 comments in a month.

On August 5th, 2025, TikToker^[3] @brooklynkaye posted a video following the trend, garnering over 19 million views in a week.

On the same day, the official @hamiltonmusical TikTok^[4] account posted a video following the trend with Lin Manuel Miranda, who plays Alexander Hamilton, garnering over 6 million views in a week.

On August 10th, TikToker^[5] @thegang945 posted a video doing the trend, in which someone plays Alexander and someone else plays Eliza, garnering over 16.5 million views in two days.

On September 3rd, 2025, the official TikTok^[6] account for Hamilton the musical posted a video showing various aforementioned female creators arriving on the red carpet for the movie's premiere, dressed in full 18th-century regalia. The post gathered over 5 million views and 1 million likes in a day.
