On June 6th, 2020, Twitter user @SkoochLoL^[1] tweeted a picture of himself lying awake next to his girlfriend with the caption, "Ah yes. Me. My girlfriend. And her 500 dollar four foot tall mareep." The tweet gained over 79,000 retweets and 592,000 likes in two days (shown below).

The tweet quickly inspired artists on Twitter to redraw the image with different characters. Popular examples include a tweet by @Tricia980,^[2] who drew the template using characters from She-Ra, gaining over 840 retweets and 2,600 likes (shown below, left), and @yukesart,^[3] who tweeted art featuring characters from Critical Role, gaining over 390 retweets and 2,100 likes (shown below, right)
