About

Ah! It's Coming Out! also known as "Ah! It's Coming Out" Kid Screaming or the It's Coming Out meme, refers to a viral TikTok sound of a kid crying and screaming "Ah! It's coming out!" The original video was a "Screaming In Bathroom" prank posted by YouTuber and TikToker Yoglo8 in which he was pretending that he needed to poop. The sound was remixed and turned into a Goofy Ahh sound that sped up and slowed down (similar to a Don Pollo sound) in late 2023, paired with a Fortnite gameplay video and Speaking Head emojis. The "It's Coming Out" TikTok sound gained usage as a photo slideshow audio manifesting in October 2023.

Origin

On April 1st, 2023, TikToker[1] @yoglo8 posted a video that was called "Screaming in bathroom prank!" and it involved him going into a Chipotle restaurant and screaming, "Ah! It's coming out!" in public. Over the course of six months, the video received roughly 10.5 million plays and 1.3 million likes (shown below).

Despite some usage of the original video's TikTok sound[2] as early as April 2023,[3] predominant usage of the video's audio didn't surface until late 2023. Currently, the earliest known variant usage of the video was posted by TikToker[4] @jasiah43 on September 27th, 2023, who sped-up and slowed down the video for "Goofy Ahh" audio purposes, gaining roughly 3.8 million plays and 530,100 likes in three weeks (shown below).

Spread

After the aforementioned video was uploaded, the video's sound[5] was used as the audio for viral photo slideshows, such as one uploaded by TikToker[6] @_grayalaska on September 30th, 2023, which received roughly 424,400 plays and 65,200 likes in 19 days.

On September 28th, 2023, TikToker[7] @downbad.deku used the remixed audio of @jasiah43's TikTok[4] for their own video featuring Fortnite gameplay, receiving roughly 1.1 million plays and 90,600 likes in three weeks (shown below, left). The sound[8] of @downbad.deku's video also received widespread usage, becoming the meme's most-used sound going into October 2023. For instance, on September 29th, 2023, TikToker[9] @c_marquez_ used the sound to make a joke about Roblox, gaining roughly 4.5 million plays and 455,800 likes in 19 days (shown below, right).

The sound[8] received increasingly viral videos in October 2023, such as a video posted by TikToker[10] @venom_snake03 on October 10th, 2023, which showed a giant log being pulled out of a trailer, gaining roughly 3.5 million plays and 526,000 likes in nine days (shown below).

By October 19th, 2023, the trend's primary TikTok sound[8] had amassed over 25,100 posts.
