Adrian Eeffoc Brainrot, also known as Adriancore, refers to a genre of brainrot memes, edits and viral videos, mostly shared on TikTok and Instagram Reels, that combine and mash multiple memes that were popularized in 2025, notably including Adrian, Explain Our Friend Group, Coffee Spelled Backwards is Eeffoc, A Barbershop Haircut That Costs a Quarter, Bro's Got X-Ray Vision for Grippers, Instagrammar, Steven Here and Thompson's Cutz and Design's, among many others. Edits that amalgamated the visuals, audios and sounds from the viral memes spread en masse in July and August 2025. The videos were similar to Hood Irony, lobotomy and slop content, although brainrot was the most widely used term to describe the trend.

Origin

On May 17th, 2023, TikToker^[1] @natspone posted a video that was the first to reedit and mash the Coffee Spelled Backwards Is Eeffoc video, from TikToker^[2] @markbillett14, with a stitch from TikToker^[3] @matthewkingfamous, who said, "It's eeffoc. It's funny." Multiple TikTokers commented on @natspone's edit and called it "Lobotomy." The Temple Run gameplay overlayed on the video was seemingly riffing on the format of sludge content that stereotypically uses Subway Surfers gameplay. The video received over 268,400 likes in two years (shown below).

On September 25th, 2024, TikToker^[4] @illegalbugtrader posted a Subtle Foreshadowing video that was tagged with a hashtag for Hood Irony. The video used a scene from Everybody Hates Chris and combined the audio of the Adrian, Explain Our Friend Group video, originally posted by TikToker^[5] @omni_boi26 in February 2023, and the Eeffoc video. Over 11 months, the video received over 168,200 likes (shown below).

The video is currently the first known to combine the Adrian and Eeffoc soundbites into one lobotomy, brainrot or Hood Irony video.

Spread

In the following months, TikToker @illegalbugtrader continued to use the Adrian and Eeffoc soundbites in viral edits.

For instance, on December 10th, 2024, @illegalbugtrader posted a TikTok^[6] that used the Adrian, Explain Our Friend Group sound, pairing it with a Red Circle Perpetrators clip over the realistic Bart Simpson image used in the Mason Troy Adams memes. The video received over 238,500 likes in eight months (shown below).

On May 8th, 2025, TikToker^[7] @illegalbugtrader posted an Adrian edit that gave the original video a serene vibe, gaining over 246,600 likes in three months (shown below).

Other creators began to follow the format of combining the Adrian and Eeffoc soundbites into brainrot edits heading into mid-2025.

For instance, on July 25th, TikToker^[8] @dev_therock posted a video that showed the Eeffoc guy telling his joke, but with the words "coffee" and "eeffoc" replaced with "Adrian." In a month, the video gained over 158,800 likes (shown below).

On July 26th, 2025, TikToker^[9] @adrians.barbersho edited the A Barbershop Haircut That Costs a Quarter video, replacing "barbershop" and "quarter" with "eeffoc" and "Adrian," gaining over 184,300 likes in a month (shown below).

On August 2nd, TikToker^[10] @turbochuro67 posted an edit that combined X-Ray Vision for Grippers, Adrian, Eeffoc and Instagrammar, among other videos, into one brainrot edit, gaining over 107,400 likes in 16 days (shown below).

On August 10th, 2025, TikToker^[11] @ilikecarss2 posted an AI image of multiple characters from the Adrian Eeffoc Brainrot memes taking a selfie together. It included Adrian, Eeffoc, A Barbershop Haircut That Costs a Quarter, X-Ray Vision for Grippers, Steven Here and Thompson's Cutz and Design's. Over eight days, the post received over 361,400 likes (shown below).
