A Human, A Monster, And…, also known as Three Heroes is an exploitable taken from a cutscene in Deltarune: Chapter 1. Parodies of the scene using the image as a meme template replace the last character in the cutscene, Ralsei, with a different character or multiple characters.

Origin

Deltarune: Chapter 1 released on October 31st, 2018. The scene appears shortly after the player meets Ralsei and listens to his story. In the cutscene, three heroes appear: A human, a monster, and a prince of the dark (shown below).

Spread

Parodies of the scene spread quickly after the game's release on Twitter. On November 20th, 2018, Twitter user @tiki_salad^[2] posted a parody of the scene featuring the characters from the Fingers In His Ass meme, gaining over 5,500 retweets and 13,000 likes (shown below, left). On November 8th, Redditor CatNaffy posted a meme using & Knuckles and Featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry Series, gaining over 1,100 points (shown below, right).

On November 3rd, 2021, Redditor Exerus16 posted a meme expanding on all of the characters in the scene with more humorous additions, gaining over 4,300 points in /r/Deltarune.^[1] The same day, YouTuber Planetary Facts adapted the meme to video, gaining over 1.7 million views (shown below, left). This helped the meme grow popular on YouTube, as users soon created their own variations. On November 4th, YouTuber RK25 posted an edit featuring Sans, gaining over 61,000 likes (shown below, right).
