200 IQ is a satirical reference to one's intelligence when they are able to perform an impressive play while playing video games. The reference comes from a stream of League of Legends Twitch streamer Pobelter, who mentioned his "200 IQ" before performing an action.
Origin
On November 28th, 2014, YouTube account Twitch Reuploads posted a moment from Twitch streamer Pebolter's stream of his League of Legends. Before performing an action, Pebolter states "The reason I can land this is because my IQ is 200 (shown below).
Spread
After the video was posted online, jokes about Pobelter's IQ appeared online. A compilation of his plays calling him "The Man with 200 IQ" posted by Troyd on December 27th, 2015 gained over 142,000 views (shown below, left). An upload by Imaqtpie which featured himself and Pobelter called themselves the 200 IQ Duo, gaining over 1.1 million views (shown below, right).
Meanwhile, references to 200 IQ in other games began appearing with other games and gamers, particularly of Twitch streamers. On June 5th, 2017, YouTuber SynTV CS:GO & More! uploaded a video of impressive Counter-Strike plays, calling them "200 IQ" plays (shown below, left). On October 2nd, 2017, YouTuber Maketzi uploaded plays from PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, calling them "200 IQ" plays and gaining over 2.4 million views.
