About
0.5 GPA Activities refers to a TikTok trend that began in December 2024 with high school students sharing videos of sculptures made of fruits and plastic utensils. As the trend continued to gain traction in early 2025, it grew increasingly destructive, showing students damaging wall sockets in their classrooms with tinfoil, or performing Chromebook Durability Tests by purposefully trying to damage their school-issued laptops. The trend also saw overlap with the F students trend in May 2025, after business and fitness influencer Ben Azoulay posted a TikTok account (@kingazoulay) claiming that students who receive F grades are the "inventors" in society.
Origin
The earliest known "X GPA activities" video is an October 30th, 2024, TikTok[1] posted by @someoneslick, showing a group of students constructing a grotesque cafeteria leftover sculpture using a half-eaten apple, plastic forks, and chocolate milk. The video gathered over 750,000 plays and 100,000 likes in seven months.
