The earliest known "Тотя" meme was posted on September 1st, 2025, when TikToker^[1] @ddghfjwiedi3929 posted a Russian meme that transitioned to a photo of a pair of naked SpongeBobs with the word "тотя❤️" over it. The post gathered over 2 million plays and 200,000 likes in two weeks.

The image of the two naked SpongeBobs may have originated from the TikTok^[6] gimmick account @spongefrob, who gathered over 2 million views on one such post, minus the "Тотя" caption, on December 8th, 2022.
