And the meme of June 2025 goes to …

While one side of the internet was scared that World War III might happen any day, another side of the internet was more scared of getting a job. This fear brought on a whole wave of memes about the evils of Job Application Forms, along with a whole other meme where words like "job" are censored (J*b) to make sure the gleefully unemployed don't even have to see such an offensive term. Job application form memes blew up all over social media, making a significant impact everywhere from TikTok to X and beyond. With 29.3% of the total votes, job applications took a commanding victory as the top meme of June 2025.

SYBAU Guy

Coming in at second with 14.4% of the votes is the SYBAU Guy, a reaction image that takes the slang term "SYBAU" and turns it into a surprisingly versatile meme for when you need to tell someone to shut up. The meme, which shows rapper Lazer Dim 700 posing beside the acronym "SYBAU" and a Broken Heart Emoji, started going around in May and became more prevalent throughout June. It even became the subject of redraws, replacing Lazer Dim 700 with a variety of characters.

Asgore Running Over Dess

Screeching into third place with 13.7% of the votes is the Deltarune format Asgore Running Over Dess. This meme is based on a fan theory that Asgore, father of Kris and Asriel, killed Dess Holiday in a car accident. As far as memes go, Deltarune fans seem convinced that the accident involved Asgore just straight up running Dess over. To be fair, Dess is basically a deer, and deer do be getting run over all the time. The Asgore running over Dess meme really brought out the creative side of the fandom, resulting in some truly funny and impressive GIFs, fan art and more.

A Barbershop Haircut That Costs a Quarter

With 5.04% of the total votes is "A Barbershop Haircut That Costs a Quarter," a series of memes based on the delivery of a line from an amateur production of Newsies that took over TikTok and Instagram Reels. The soulful delivery became a major meme, inspiring the most musically minded TikTokers to recreate the clip with all their pals.

Guy Pointing at Himself

Finally, in fifth place, this Guy Pointing at Himself reaction became a big enough deal to get 4.9% of the total votes. The meme is based on a stock photo uploaded online back in 2012 that suddenly came back into the limelight on TikTok in May as a way of expressing a sort of "Who, me?" reaction. In June, the meme kept on growing as people attached funny captions expressing shock over something someone told them. It's a simple meme, but sometimes that's enough to get you a spot in the top five of the Meme of the Month roundup.

Now for the memes that didn't quite crack the top five: With 4.2% of the vote was the SYBAU-like slang term SYFM, followed by Hoop Dreams with 4.01%, Dark Mango Psychology with 3.8%, What Sin Do You Relish the Most with 3.6%, It's Not Clocking to You That I'm Standing On Business with 3.6%, Your Taking Too Long with 2.9%, Roll the Windows Up with 2.1%, Retroslop with 1.89%, Tunnel Effect with 1.6%, Anthony Mackie Dancing with 1.6%, The Girls are Fighting with 1.4%, Sucky Tan Ducky Doo with 1% and Ace Looking at Amaya with 0.7%.

Thank you for voting, and see you next month!
