OceanGate was really far reaching, but so was the Grimace Shake. Within my circles, OceanGate caught on for longer than anything else. Everyone and anyone was doing something with it, while Grimace Shake seemed to catch on more with artists and content creators.

Sheesh this month was STACKED. I said last month was starting strong with Spider-Verse and now I think we’ve got our best selection of memes for this year so far. It’s gonna be close one for sure. I’m going with the sub because watching billionaires crumble will never not be funny for me and those memes were gold.

Oh- this is a tough one between Shadow Wizard Money Gang and the Grimace Shake for me.
SWMG had that old school feel of mixing those gangsta' cartoon shirts, something that sounds like an early 2000s Newgrounds cartoon, and the absurdist nature of modern memes – but Grimace Shake was hilarious before big names found it and I love the silliness behind it. (and the shake was okay).

Grimace Shake has led to some very creative horror sketches provided by Zoomers. But the destruction of the Titan sub at the hands of a cheap, greedy millionaire who's hubris turned him and a bunch of people into primordial soup from being vaporized inside of a tin can will be the highlight of the month for me.
