Comedy Writer Attempts To Force 'Two Lengths? Yes, His Hair Has Been That' Meme
With the COVID-19 Pandemic still ongoing (but hopefully coming to a close), there's been a new flurry of boredom memes populating Twitter recently in which fans laud praise on their favorite celebrities simply for doing their job. The most notable of these is They Always Understood The Assignment, which was a dreary format in which people post screenshots of an actor in four different roles, emphasizing that yes, the actor can act.
While fandom memes come and go, it's rare to see a parody that satirizes the very concept of fandom memes itself. That's exactly what comedy writer Tim Kalpakis is trying to do with his original format, "Two Lengths."
The concept is simple: post two pictures of an actor when their hair was two different lengths, demonstrating the "astonishing" range of the actor for getting at least one haircut. The concept caught on quickly among Kalpakis' followers.
Admittedly, this would not have caught our attention had it not been for Kalpakis feigning shock that his genius concept had yet to be submitted to KnowYourMeme.
Kalpakis' tweet inspired a very new KnowYourMeme user to create an entry for Two lengths? Yes, his hair has been that, which currently sits in our Deadpool section for being a blatantly Forced Meme. We do, however, respect the gumption and the quality of the joke, so here's hoping your meme takes off, Mr. Kalpakis. May we soon see "Two Lengths" memes take over the Twitter timeline.
