Within the livestream event, there was news about the new Super Mario Bros Movie that is being made by Illumination, as well as Deltarune having the second chapter release to Switch systems, introducing an entire console to the ever-growing meme swarm that is still developing from that game. Lastly, we have the Nintendo AAA $60 series of memes comparing the latest Nintendo titles vs. other AAA games.

Super Mario Movie parodies refers to fan-made recreations of the announcement images for the actors appearing in the untitled Mario Bros. movie. These fan-made images became popular in much the same way that Smash Bros. character parodies became popular — it's all about what favorite character or wacky idea you think would best work as a joke.

Nintendo AAA ($60)

Nintendo AAA is about putting a triple-AAA-rated Nintendo game screenshot side-by-side with a game from another company, oftentimes another AAA-rated game. The trend can be used to either positively speak about how good some Nintendo AAA games can be, and how they could be worth the price tag, but it also has the ability to speak to the lack of quality versus some other AAA games, such as those by Sony. The meme quickly devolved into it being just a screenshot of Kirby's newly announced game, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, vs. literally anything.

Snowgrave / Weird Route

The Snowgrave / Weird Route phenomenon started to get a lot of attention recently as more people became aware of it and started to do it themselves. This is an alternate route to take in the game Deltarune Chapter 2 and requires a complex series of steps to be followed perfectly to pull off. If done correctly, the game will suddenly shift to a much darker and different tone than before, with future ramifications in the following chapters being a guarantee. Alongside the rise in awareness, memes about the topic also rose over the weekend on multiple platforms.
