The coronavirus has been hard on almost everyone, but one industrious 20-year-old man appears to have made that work for him.

This morning, Twitter was rocked by the story of the so-called "Hamptons Ho." Twitter user @JaimePrimak opened a thread on Twitter today by saying, "Y’all. My girlfriend lives in the Hamptons…. and her 20 year old son has been living with them since March (covid) he’s a Junior… going back to school. She was cleaning his room and found ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS in cash."

Naturally, any mother would be concerned about where this massive pile of money came from. Drugs? Thievery? Prostitution? It turned out to be the latter. According to Primak, the son was approached by an elderly woman back in April with an indecent proposal: she and her friends were looking for sex during the pandemic and were willing to pay the young man a good amount of money – "$5,000 a pop" – for it.

The mom apparently plans to force the son to return the money, which seems a bit hasty, considering he earned that through hard, albeit not socially acceptable, work.

As of this moment, there are no further updates on the so-called Hamptons Ho and his money, and here's hoping it remains that way for the sake of the anonymity of all involved. Obviously, the whole picture of the young man and his business transactions are unknown, so it's impossible to know if anything that took place wasn't on the level, but for a Twitter story, it's gold. It's the exact kind of salaciousness Twitter thrives on, and reactions were gold. Who was right? Is the mom justified in returning the cash? Was the son justified in taking it? If the genders were reversed, wouldn't this be a much different story?

"The mom will force him to return the money"

Uhh… This lil nigga is 20 years old. I get that prostitution is technically illegal but come on, the hustle is real and this dude isn't a minor. If the police cannot charge him with a crime then why return the money. That's just stupid.

Oh and if a 20 year old woman did this, I would feel the same way. In these trying times you gotta do whatever you can, and this is not harming anyone if it's all consensual.

If he avoids STDs for the entirety of this enterprise, this dude will make a lot of men feel dumb for not thinking about this before.

Every piece of this story is as ridiculous as it is hilarious. A male prostitute is being coerced by his mother to return the 100 grand he earned from said prostitution to his rich customers.

Shouldn't the man be in jail? I mean I don't care either way, but he literally prostituted himself. Isn't that illegal?

Maybe he filmed it, making porn is legal, right? :D

I mean, this reeks of being completely made up. Even if the women were very rich, $5,000 a night really? That seems like a higher price then I'd expect them to set.

I have heard of men paying double that amount for the chance at getting a Japanese idol's panties. Nothing would surprise me on this regard anymore.

That's different though. That's involving a famous celebrity and has the whole weird cuktlike worship element. This story is just some random guy.

The “if it were a girl that did this…” posts are really stupid.

They’re of age and consent to the acts.

I read this followup tweet from Jenny at least:

"To clarify- of COURSE this kid should keep his money and sex work should be legal. There shouldnt be double standards but there are. This guy is cast in a funny light in this story. A girl would likely have been received as sad, troubled, or desperate. Which isn’t right!"
