Last night was a doozy. One hour crawled on for what felt like a decade as a deluge of news flooded the internet at an unfathomable rate. Glued to their keyboards and phones waiting for the next shoe to drop, those unfortunate enough to be online between the hours of 9 PM and 10 PM EST were treated to what can only be described as a seismic shift in the space-time continuum in which a year's worth of awful headlines were delivered at once. Let's re-cap:

- There was President Trump's coronavirus address in which he announced that he would be suspending travel between Europe and the U.S. for one month, sending travelers who had not been given the full details into a panic.
- The NBA suspended the season over the increased risks of spreading the virus--not to mention Rudy Gorbert, a player who earlier this week jokingly touched a bunched of mics at a press conference, was diagnosed with the COVID-19.
- Finally, as we all grappled with these revelations, we got word that America's father and his beloved national treasure wife Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson were in isolation after test positive for COVID-19.

It was a nightmare. And then, the nightmare came true.

Needless to say, nobody took it particularly well. In a stunning display of control (in which no one ran through the streets 28 Days Later-style and began clawing through anything they can get their nails into) netizens tweeted about their dying brain cells as Nick Cannon grinded on Palin as if it weren't among the most horrific things ever aired on television.
