One man's trash is another man's treasure, and this was the case with @yafavv.mandaa and the blue couch.

In fact, she was overly joyous because she looked up the price of the couch and alleged that it was worth roughly $8,000. She believed that the couch was made by the French designer Roche Bobois with the couch's model name being the BUBBLE 2 Canapé.

With the help of her father, @yafavv.mandaa successfully scooped the couch off the street and cleaned it once through with soap, water and a vacuum. After that, she put the thing in her living room, concluding her video on a high note.

Despite the seemingly wholesome nature of her video, many on TikTok questioned her decision to pick up the couch at all. Through TikTok duets, others on the app expressed their general skepticism when finding wet and cushioned furniture on the street, namedropping their fear of bed bugs and other reasons why an $8,000 couch might be on the street and not in the original owner's home.

This criticism and belief was amplified when the video was reposted to Twitter later on the same day. It all started when Twitter user @boymolish wondered why he wasn't as "lucky" as TikToker @yafavv.mandaa.

Soon after the video went viral on the new website, various meme creators started to caption a product image of the blue couch, posing satirical, imaginary scenarios that portrayed why the couch might have been out on the street. The memes then led to investigations over whether or not the couch was actually worth $8,000. Some on Twitter believed that it was actually a $600 knock-off couch from Aliexpress.
