Actress Rachel Sennott, the star of the 2023 comedy movie Bottoms, has been a viral topic on X's Stan Twitter community lately with a unique and hilarious nickname: "Fatima."

Fatima is not just an alter-ego but truly a behavioral take on the vibe Sennott's personality gives. Still confused? Let's explain the "Fatima meme."

Where Did the 'Fatima' Meme Originate and What Does It Have To Do With Rachel Sennott?

The Fatima meme took off on X / Twitter in July 2023 when user @Miagothstan posted a photo of Rachel Sennott with a quirky caption suggesting the actress' face would resemblance someone named Fatima, a popular Arabic name, "but in a white way."

The nickname reached new heights in November 2024 when Sennott addressed the meme during an interview with Entertainment Tonight. Her colleague, Jordan Firstman, jokingly explained "Fatima" as "a woman of the people, like a Fatima works a 9-5."

How Did the 'Fatima' Meme Spread?

Fans quickly embraced the Fatima meme as it spread in recent days, often sharing playful tweets and comments treating Sennott as Fatima, which amplified its reach.

For example, X user @lildicklegend humorously claimed in a November 11th post that they believed Sennott's name was actually Fatima due to the meme.

The wrong interpretation given by Firstman about the Fatima meme also received a fairly good amount of jokes on X. For example, on November 16th, 2024, X user @H0UNDS0FLUV posted a reaction video as a reply to @sennottfiles's tweet that's since racked up over 1.8 million views.
