Unfortunately, anyone younger than 25 knows who Kick streamer Adin Ross is, and also, pretty much everyone in the modern world knows who North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un is. Why bring up these two people? Well, Adin Ross is possibly interviewing Kim Jong-un on stream tonight.

Although it might seem far-fetched, Ross has been shilling the possible collab and interview on social media over the past week, inspiring a slew of X/Twitter accounts to bait internet users into engaging with the idea. Whether its a publicity stunt or not is yet to be determined. However, a lot has already happened so far.

So, how did this interview come about and who exactly is Adin Ross? Let's explain.

Who Is Adin Ross?

For those who are blissfully unaware, Adin Ross is a 22-year-old streamer and content creator. He originally streamed on the popular platform Twitch but recently moved to the new and up-and-coming platform Kick when he was offered a huge, multi-million deal and equity in the company.

Adin Ross has become a controversial figure in the influencer realm, mostly because he enables controversial voices like Andrew Tate (because he's interviewed him before and, overall, echoes the man's misogynistic rhetoric) and he orbits around similar Tate-inspired streamers like Sneako and N3on who each have their own history of problematic viewpoints, including a recent clip in which Sneako met a group of young fans.

Despite all of the negative things one could say about Ross, he's no doubt an influential creator on the modern web which is something to not understate. He's truly created something out of nothing, coming up in the game alongside others like Kai Cenat. Both have created new ways to make and consume content, additionally inspiring slang terms with mass appeal.

Why Is Adin Ross Interviewing Kim Jong-un?

Roughly two weeks back, Adin Ross was talking to the owner of Kick, a man named Eddie Craven, during a livestream. Craven told Ross that he should go to North Korea and interview Kim Jong-un. When reposted to X on the day of, the clip went viral, gaining jokes about the potential start of World War III.

This week, Ross officially stated on stream, without Craven in the room, that he'd be interviewing the North Korean dictator within the next 48 hours. Since then, Ross has created and published an official promo poster for the stream which is supposed to happen on Wednesday.

So, why exactly would Ross be interviewing Kim Jong-un? It's ultimately unclear. Some people are pointing fingers at the Stake.com crypto hack that was caused by North Korean hackers this year. Kick owner Eddie Craven has a larger stake in the company, plus, a Stake-related question appears to be on Ross' list of questions.

What Are Adin Ross' Questions For Kim Jong-un?

Speaking of Ross' list of questions, a screenshot landed on X yesterday which showed a Notepad document with questions that Ross had lined up for Kim Jong-un. The list included:

Thoughts on LGBT?
Can you give Stake money back?
React to Andrew Tate
Visit North Korea?
Add Yeonmi Park to call
Trump vs. Biden
USA better than North Korea
E-date?
Fake [REDACTED] prank

When Is Adin Ross Interviewing Kim Jong-un?

The interview is set to stream on Kick on Wednesday, September 20th, at 7:30 p.m. EST.

Did Adin Ross Actually Interview Kim Jong-un?

The short answer is, no. Like many had anticipated, on the day of the stream, a Kim Jong-un impersonator named Howard X joined the call.

The publicity stunt gained a lot of ridicule online, however, the stream also earned Ross over 300,000 viewers before the big reveal. In accordance, though, with many people that tuned in, everyone quickly left before Andrew Tate also joined the call, relaying his own questions to the fake dictator.

Skepticism was already running rampant before the actual stream. It seems like the skeptics really won this round. In fact, many are making fun of the people who seemingly believed that the real Kim Jong-un was going to appear. The internet is wondering, should we be worried about this younger generation? All jokes aside, we're not sure if any of those 300,000 viewers thought it was going to be real.
