In June, TikToker @san.skywvker posted a fancam edit of Homelander footage that gained over 62 million views by August. The fancam is set to a remix of a scene from The Boys where he yells at his supervisor Ashley Barrett, "Ashley, look at me!" After Homelander yells the line, the beat to the song "MONTAGEM – PR FUNK" by S3BZS drops.
The Homelander scene comes from season two episode one of The Boys. The remix clearly hit with TikTokers, who have used the original sound over 4.4 million times so far and reuploaded the remix itself, including extended versions, to YouTube numerous times.
How Is 'Ashley Look At Me' Used On TikTok?
With over 4.4 million uses, the original sound is being used in a lot of different ways on TikTok. One of the most popular trends has TikTokers lip dub to Homelander's line while using the Striking Face filter then transition out of the filter at the beat drop.
The remix has also inspired a viral dance trend on the app. The dance, started by TikTokers @berdox24, has users arching their backs and shuffling back and further while rhythmically extending their arms. Otherwise, the sound is being used for general outfit transitions, workout videos and more thanks to its addicting and catchy beat drop.
