Where Did The Catchphrase 'Kuzan Is Much Faster And Can Freeze His Opponents' Come From? The 'One Piece' Powerscaling Meme Explained
Kuzan, or as he is better known, Aokiji, is the chillest dude in One Piece, literally. He's a former marine turned Blackbeard Pirate who can stand his own in a fight, but his fans may be gassing him up a little too much in this powerscaling copypasta that's infecting anime subreddits at breakneck speed.
Amid the trend, one fan insisted that Kuzan would win in a fight against the characters Yamato and Bao Hancock because he is "much faster and can also freeze his opponents," instantly kicking off a class lobotomy meme in which anime fans reworked the argument to fit their own favorite fighters.

Where Did The 'Kuzan Is Much Faster' Meme Come From?
The "Kuzan Is Much Faster" copypasta originated from the /r/OnePiecePowerScaling subreddit where Redditor /u/Sufficient_Growth786 posted a blurry screenshot showing a poll comparing Kuzan, also known as Aokiji, and Yamato and Bao Hancock.
The poll showed people voting in Kuzan's favor, while the caption on the Reddit post read, "Do you approve?"
But the actual copypasta meme only began when a number of Redditors began spamming the phrase "Kuzan is much faster and can freeze his opponents" under the post. Redditor /u/Lord_DIO_Za_Warudo appeared to have started the trend, although many other members of the subreddit quickly followed suit.
How Did The 'Kuzan Is Much Faster' Meme Spread?
Several other Redditors began adopting the catchphrase for their own fandoms, with /u/readytofly_ posting the meme to /r/Piratefolk and Redditor /u/RunningHorseDog making a post to /r/Jujutsufolk that read, "Does anyone seriously think Uraume would lose to Gojo? She's much faster and can freeze her opponents."
It was around that time that Redditor /u/EnigWa8 posted a series of edited manga panels to /r/MemePiece showing Kuzan and other characters repeating the catchphrase
