What's Up With All The Memes About 'Evil Woody'? The Cursed Woody Song Explained.
While it may have been nearly 30 years since Woody was wrong in the first Toy Story movie in 1995, a YouTuber has taken it upon himself to give the toy the villain arc he never had. Evil Woody's rhymes have spread cross-platform and cross-fandom in over the past week, with him threatening bodily harm to everyone from Buzz, Slinky and Bo to Andy.

Where Did The Clip Of Woody Saying 'Shut Up Buzz' Originate?
In late October 2023, YouTuber Aaron Fraser-Nash uploaded a video titled, "Cursed Woody Sings A Song" to his YouTube channel, and posted a shortened version to his TikTok, @singsasongscary. The video showed Toy Story character Woody threatening his fellow cast of toys in the format of a parody rap song.
The nearly long song acts as a ballad where Woody laments about all the times he's been wrong over the course of the films, an injustice many many people seem to have forgotten over the past 30 years.
How Did Evil Woody Become A Meme?
After X user @beebus222 reshared a clip from the video calling it the "coolest thing" they've ever seen, and that it left them "shaking," various other internet users began remixing the clip and sharing different segments from it. X user @derpatron6000 shared an even further distorted version of the clip, saying, "when I feel like the whole world has wronged me… I just remember Woody’s words…"
What Are Some Remixes Of The Evil Woody Song?
YouTuber Pouria's Extras posted a Five Nights at Freddy's version of the clip in November 2023, gathering over 100,000 views in three weeks
Later in November, TikTokers began to latch onto the trend and post meme remixes of the song on the platform. TikTokers @killercohenj and @milpthedude posted clips, with the latter referencing the "just a glimpse into my dark reality" meme.
