There's a new TikTok dance trend called the Gimme Head Top Dance. The strangest thing about it is that a lot of people aren't dancing. Instead, they're using an AI filter to animate photos of them dancing (creepy).
Meme creators are using an AI Video program called ViggleAI to follow the viral trend. Plus, the "Gimme Head Top" song is infectious. People are curious about who sings it and who invented the dance. Also, how do you make a "Gimme Head Top" AI dance meme? Let's explain.
What's The 'Gimme Head Top' Song?
The song used in the memes is called "BOP" by Big Boogie, produced by DJ Drama and featuring GloRilla. It's actually GloRilla's verse on the song that the "Gimme Head Top" lyrics come from.
The song was released earlier this year and has amassed over 12 million views on YouTube.
Who Created The 'Gimme Head Top' Dance?
The original iteration of the dance was created by TikToker @curvejso back in April when he posted a video of himself and his friend dancing to the viral GloRilla verse.
Who Created The 'Gimme Head Top' Video Used In The AI Memes?
Although @curvejso created the viral dance, arguably the most well-known version of the dance was posted by TikToker @sarahsibby in May. Her expressive performance of the moves earned numerous memes and she became the template for the AI memes using her.
How To Make A 'Gimme Head Top' AI Meme
To make one of these AI dance memes, go to the website viggle.ai and click the green button that says to join the beta (don't worry, it's free).
Next, get the photograph that you want to animate ready. Make sure that the person or character in the photograph has their entire body visible. Also, download the video of @sarahsibby dancing. You can either do that on TikTok or from this repost on Imgur.
After you make your account on Viggle, it will take you to the website's create page where you can then make your AI meme. Simply drag your photograph and @sarahsibby's video into the left and right boxes, then click "Generate." It might take a minute to complete as there could be people ahead of you in line.
No matter how long it takes, it will come. Then, you can use this CapCut template and add this TikTok sound to fully complete your video and post it to TikTok. Good luck!
