What Is The Ahsoka Tano Copypasta And What Is Obi-Wan Telling Luke?
For the average Star Wars fan, the name Ahsoka Tano might only be a recent memory, not being seen in any of the movies, and only more recently having an actual focus on her through the Star Wars: Ahsoka show on Disney+. For over a decade, Ahsoka Tano was mostly relegated to side-kick of Anakin Skywalker, only appearing in _Star Wars: The Clone Wars on TV, but not only is she wildly popular online, she's unfortunately ruined in a Copypasta.
What's The Copypasta?
A copypasta is a long story, often several sentences long, that is copy and pasted as a comment multiple times across the internet, creating a specific type of meme similar to an Urban Legend, where knowledge of it is known through exposure like a story you hear but never experience. In this case, 4chan posters in early 2016 began posting what is now known as the Ahsoka Tano copypasta, with it spreading around Star Wars meme circles and persisting to this day.
How Is It Used?
This copypasta, like many others, is often used as an instant reaction whenever a reference to something is made. In this particular case, whenever Ahsoka Tano is mentioned, shown in a meme, or brought up during discussions about Star Wars, it is likely to have the copypasta reference as a reply or reaction, often with just a picture of Obi-Wan Kenobi's face or the opening line "Luke, did I ever tell you about Ahsoka Tano" being said. However, with the advent of AI voices, it is now possible to hear the copypasta brought to life.
