A short phrase is terrifying some food TikTok creators and @tanaradoublechocolate is responsible for that. She is going viral on the platform for her greenscreen duets with bad food recipe videos in which, at one point, she says the catchphrase "Everybody's so creative!"

When more TikTok users saw Tanara's videos satirically labeling the food recipes as "creative," it quickly became a viral trend on the platform, and whenever the sound of her voice is heard as a TikTok audio clip, people know to prepare for what will likely be a disgusting food tutorial.

Here's what you need to know about the TikTok legend that is making fun of the most disturbing videos of the culinary world.

What Does 'Everybody's So Creative!' Mean?

The catchphrase "Everybody's so creative!" was coined on July 2022 by the TikToker @tanaradoublechocolate (also known as Tanara) after she duetted a recipe video on the app and, in order to humorously criticize the chef, she decided to go with a softer tone. The post in question (see below, if you have a good stomach) shows the creator @bananalovesyoutoo doing a special Halloween candy recipe in the most horrifying (and unsanitary) possible way. The video received roughly 3.3 million plays and 334,900 likes in seven months.

Needless to say, Tanara's comments throughout the viral July 2022 video captured what most people were feeling but didn't have the exquisite vocabulary to express. Hence, the "Everybody's so creative!' phrase said by her at the start of the video described how creative (in the worst imaginable manner) humans can be. She decided to keep the catchphrase over the next videos, earning more engagement as time went on (see below).

Jumping to a few months later in early-2023, TikTokers were already used to Tanara's videos, so when people hear the classic line "Everybody's so creative!" they know what was about to come on their For You page. With that, TikTok content surfaced about the catchphrase, mostly joking about the phrase's use for identifying bad cooking. On the other hand, some people felt personally attacked for being a bad cooker and hearing Tanara's voice while in the kitchen, like @mamamccrazy's post with a text overlay saying "realizing I'm one of those people that makes gross casseroles."
