Before the post was deleted, as all good tweets are, it gathered over 40,000 likes.

Nearly a whole year after the tweet was initially posted, @laterundulator posted came to be used in various memes across the internet. In early December 2023, iFunny user @teejmatt posted the tweet in the form of a Neon Genesis Evangelion title card. The next month, another iFunny user @vee07 posted a Lethal Company edit of the meme that gathered over 20,000 smiles.
