How To Face Swap GIFs With The REFACE App

The recently released REFACE app makes it easy to face swap yourself into your favorite reaction GIFs in just a few taps. Here is a simple guide on how to use it.
1. Download the app
Download and install REFACE from Apple Store or Google Play. The application is free.
2. Take a photo
Upon launch, REFACE will offer you to take a photo of yourself or anybody other person you would like to face swap into a GIF. Solid Snake, Nicolas Cage and Lizzo "volunteered" their faces for the purposes of this guide. Despite our best efforts, we couldn't make REFACE work with Big Chungus – the app only seems to recognize anthropomorphic faces.
When taking a photo, position your face inside the oval. If the resulting image looks pixelated, you probably held the camera too close or too far, so it's better to give it another go.

3. Select a GIF
After the photograph is made, select a reaction GIF from the list offered by the app. You can't upload load your own GIFs, but the pool of the avaiable reactions is by no means lacking. Made a choice? Tap "Reface" and wait for the app to finish turning the GIF into the fuel of nightmares.
Here are our results:
4. Save or share
The resulting face-swapped GIF can be shared, added to your Instagram story or saved to your device as a GIF or a video file right away.
