Taking place last weekend in Tampa, Florida, Creator Clash 2 was yet another solid exhibition of how surprisingly good online personalities and influencers can be at boxing each other — adding to yet another successful event in the budding influencer boxing space.

The competition (running for the second time in as many years) has grown exponentially from the first event, with 2023's Clash being set in a bigger arena, boasting a bigger line-up and including more fan-fare going into each fight.

If none of this is making sense and you're still confused about what exactly Creator Clash is, then let's start at the beginning (if you're just curious about Creator Clash 2's results and winners, skip ahead).

What Is "Creator Clash" Exactly?

The first Creator Clash took place in 2022 in the city of Tampa, Florida, with a relatively small lineup. The premise of the event is simple: YouTubers, TikTokers and all manner of online content creators were invited to face off against one another in an officially sanctioned boxing match, with the proceeds of ticket sales going to charity organizations.

The idea for this stemmed from the already prominent rise in influencer boxing, in which well-known social media stars fight each other for large sums of cash or entertainment. With Creator Clash, however, the number one priority is charity — and giving the fans a good show.

The Fights of Creator Clash 2

Creator Clash 2 took place on April 15th, 2023, and featured 12 action-packed fights over a six-hour period, with the doors opening at 4:30 p.m. and fans finally shuffling out of the arena around 11.

Ticket prices for the event fluctuated depending on where you wanted to sit, and it was the policy that your tickets were locked into your ID, so reselling wasn't possible (unlike the Taylor Swift concert that also took place in Tampa that weekend).

Now, let's get into the various matchups of this year's competition and who ended up boxing their way to ultimately become winners.

Jack Manifold vs. Dakota Olave

The first fight was between new fighters Jack Manifold and Dakota Olave. Jack Manifold, a Minecraft YouTuber with a connection to Dream SMP, was originally going to face off against Disguised Toast before he was switched for TikToker and skateboarder Dakota Olave.

The fight was fairly balanced, with a slight edge towards Jack in both his size and power. With the crowd taunting Jack about his British heritage by making several chants about the Queen's death, he ended up winning by a unanimous judges decision.

Jaelaray vs. Abelina Sabrina

TikToker and Twitch partner Jaelaray was facing off against the YouTuber and Twitch streamer Abelina Sabrina.

The first of four female fights, the two fighters went the distance before Jaelaray was given the win in a unanimous decision by judges. After being handed the mic during the post-fight interview, however, Jaelaray was quick to say she would be back for Creator Clash 3 and called out Yung Elderberry as who she wanted to fight.

Dad vs. AB Starkilla

Dad was arguably the standout crowd favorite from last year when he ended his fight with Matt Watson by knocking him out in 22 seconds to kick off Creator Clash 1. AB Starkilla of H3 fame was coming off his loss to Hundar from Cow Chop.

Coming out of the gate, Dad had entire sections of devoted fans with handmade signs cheering for him, a marked increase from last year, while AB maintained his high level of popularity from before.

The match quickly heated up as Dad came out swinging just like last year, and although he didn't get the knockout within the first round, during the break between rounds AB was noticeably holding his left side and told his coach that he can't go back out, ending the match without a round two.

William Haynes vs. Chris RayGun

This fight was much anticipated for two reasons. Originally, the fight was supposed to be between Chris RayGun and Froggy Fresh, but Froggy was controversially removed from Creator Clash 2 a few weeks prior to the event. This then changed the narrative, with William Haynes from Sourcefed now facing off against Chris RayGun, who many remember as a proto-SourceFed with how he would give news recaps before it was a more mainstream genre.

The fight was obviously stacked against Chris, with the audience in attendance being unable to ignore Haynes towering over him. Unsurprisingly, the fight ended in a TKO in the second round for a Haynes victory.

Alanah Pearce vs. Mika Midgett

Alanah Pearce, the video game journalist and podcaster, faced off against Mika Midgett in the fifth match. Up to this point, the blue corner was the sole victor, but Alanah Pearce was fiercely determined to pierce through the blue sweep.

The crowd went wild when Mika stepped out, her leather cutoff jacket emblazoned with her name "MIKA" in the Akira font with red glitter to simulate the blood.

Though the two fighters appeared to be evenly sized and matched, Alanah Pearce was determined the victor in a split judges' decision in what the crowd believed to be the most balanced fight of the night.

Myth vs. Hundar

This fight really set the tone for the rest of the night. Myth, a professional video game player and streamer, was coming fresh off his win at Ludwig Chessboxing 2022 and faced off against Hundar, who had beaten AB Starkilla at the first Creator Clash.

Going into the fight, however, it was revealed that Myth and AB were cousins, leading to the match being seen as revenge. When both Myth and Hundar walked out, the crowd was electric, with many popular streamers and their fans rooting for either side.

The entrance sounds were nothing compared to the eruption that happened when Myth knocked Hundar flat to the ground and won via TKO in the first round.

Haley Sharpe vs. Marisha Ray

"Yodeling" Haley Sharpe, who competed last year in Creator Clash against Justaminx, was up against the Critical Role star Marisha Ray who had all the D&D fans in attendance cheering her on.

Throughout the fight, Sharpe managed to cut through Marisha's defense, leading to a vast gap in body shot punches landed, which gave Haley the victory in a unanimous judges' decision.

Arin Hanson vs. Jarvis Johnson

Arin Egoraptor Hanson was looking to make up for his loss against Harley Morenstein in last year's Creator Clash, and his opponent was YouTuber Jarvis Johnson.

Arin walked out supported by the NSP (Ninja S-- Party) band dressed up in elaborate costumes, much to the crowd's excitement.

The fight then started off fast with Arin and Jarvis exchanging blows and getting acquainted with each other. However, after one too many punches from Arin, Jarvis signaled to the ref and waved off the rest of the fight, resulting in a TKO victory for Hanson.

Michelle Khare vs. Andrea Botez

Michelle Khare, the star behind HBO Max show Karma and fitness enthusiast, was up against Canadian chess star Andrea Botez, with Botez being far from the favorite.

Though Botez was most assuredly the crowd favorite due to her fame as a chess streamer, it was believed that she would face the same fate as Jarvis, her red-corner teammate.

When the final bell rang signaling that both fighters had gone the distance, the crowd erupted into cheers as the judges awarded Khare the win in a unanimous decision.

Ethan vs. Leonhart

Ethan, best known for his work with "Unus Annus" was facing off against Leonhart, a PokeTuber who unpacks cards on YouTube.

During their walk-out, Ethan had BBno$ singing one of his songs, while Leonhart had the original singer of the Pokemon theme song perform the beloved track as he walked out wearing bespoke boxing gear with Pokemon TCG energy on them.

Ethan eventually took the fight in the second round with a TKO over Leonhart, but the two immediately got friendly afterward.

John Hennigan vs. Harley Morenstein

The most anticipated fight of the night, Harley was coming off his overwhelming victory against Arin Hanson in the first Creator Clash, while John Hennigan was still fresh after multiple decades of being a professional wrestler.

John Hennigan walked out with all the professionalism of a pro wrestling athlete and had the crowd pumped while they waited for Harley's entrance.

Last year, Harley walked out while cosplaying as Big Boss from Metal Gear Solid, but this year, he took a similar yet incredibly different approach. After making references to Metal Gear Solid III, Harley did not walk out as expected. Instead, he appeared in the bleachers next to other fans and walked down the aisle before entering the ring and getting ready to fight.

The fight itself started off strong, with Harley and John trading blows, but it quickly became one-sided as John started pushing Harley around with his punches, sending Harley to the floor and tumbling out of the ring near the end of the first round.

After getting up and climbing back in the ring, Harley proceeded to keep the fight going into the second round before getting knocked down another two times and having the fight officially called off.

Alex Wassabi vs. iDubbbz

The main event fight between Alex Wassabi and Ian iDubbbz went similarly to last year's main event but with a more even match-up.

Not to repeat the controversy of last year, Ian had told Alex that there would be no glove touching, only boxing, and the intensity was up as soon as the first round began.

As the rounds went on, each boxer became more ragged, with Ian noticeably bleeding and taking more hits from Wassabi. At the end of the final round, the judges granted Alex Wassabi the win through a majority judges' decision — concluding the second-annual Creator Clash.
