Last Thursday, when Donald Trump turned himself into the Fulton County Sheriff's Office on charges of conspiring to fraudulently change the 2020 United States Presidential Election results in the state, much of the country tuned in to see his mugshot, which it got, in all its glory, but there were also some who were very interested in Trump's height and weight.

The former President has been very cagey about those numbers, and any statistics given in the past have had some credibility issues. The arrest meant one of Trump's closely guarded secrets would finally come out, and betting markets had a field day speculating on the official numbers.

Then they arrived, and the arrest record states that Trump is 6'3", 215 lbs (with "Strawberry Blonde" hair). Almost immediately, many in the media and on social media called "BS." Here's why.

Why Do So Many People Not Believe Trump Is 6'3", 215 lbs?

The biggest reason few believe the former president is 6'3", 215 lbs is that Trump, ever-known to stretch the truth to further his public image, self-reported those numbers. He did not step on a scale and have those numbers recorded by a Fulton County official.

The lone official record of Trump's height and weight came in 2018, when White House Doctor Ronny Jackson said Trump was 6'3", 239 lbs, putting his BMI at 29.9, conspicuously .1 short of "obese" range. Jackson also said Trump could potentially live to 200 years old and that he scored perfectly on his cognitive abilities test. At the time, people very much doubted that report.

Furthermore, just three months prior to his Georgia arrest, Trump self-reported his height and weight in Manhattan as part of his Stormy Daniels Hush Money Indictment. There, he said he was 6'2" and 240 lbs. As some pointed out, if those numbers were accurate, Trump would have had to go on a major diet and also have a growth spurt at the age of 77 to reach 6'3", 215 lbs in three months.

How Are People Memeing Trump's Supposed Height and Weight?

If you follow sports, 6'3", 215 lbs may sound familiar to you because they are the official height and weight of many professional athletes, as memers were all-too-ready to point out in the wake of the release of Trump's supposed height and weight. They are nearly the same measurements as Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Laurent Broissert and many, many others. Memers quickly placed photos of Trump next to those athletes to let viewers decide for themselves if Trump was really 6'3", 215 lbs.

The world may never know Trump's real height and weight — if of course, you don't believe Trump's self-report of 6'3", 215 lbs. is accurate. If it is, however, it could be considered noble that Trump is running for president instead of playing quarterback for the Miami Dolphins.
