However, battles like Timbaland vs. Swizz Beatz, Ludacris vs. Nelly, and Brandy vs. Monica have all been an utter sham when compared to the hypothetical battle going on Twitter right now: Barney vs. Elmo.

Finally, the ultimate battle of two of the world's most famous hitmakers has come to the forefront of public debate after Twitter user @youloveally posed the question.

From there, the gloves were off. "Elmo's World" vs. "I Love You?" "ABCs (ft. Patti LaBelle)" vs. "Apples and Bananas"? It was a brutal battle online and one of the better Twitter debates in recent memory.
