Last week, Louis C.K. announced a new stand-up tour in an email sent out to people who subscribed to the newsletter on his website. The tour, which kicks off today, will be heading to North Carolina, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Alabama, and Louisiana, with additional dates set for Israel, Slovakia, Hungary, Italy, and Switzerland.

Yesterday, the New York Times wrote an article about his return, arriving nearly two years after they broke the story of his sexual misconduct allegations that caused him to become "cancelled" in the first place. Below are some of the reactions collected on Twitter after his comeback tour was announced.

First came the many angry reactions to the fallen comedian's return.

The reasons for unsubscribing became a fun thing to fill out for people who no longer appreciate the comedian.

Clearly, there was no character limit.

Some were dying to know how many people unsubscribed after failing to remember they were signed up for his newsletter before the news broke.

Many just wanted a tour of apologies following the accusations made against him.

There were of course jokes about the cities he selected for his upcoming tour.

There were tweets comparing him to garbage.

And tweets using his own words to prove their point.

And yet, the support for the comedian remained pretty strong on Twitter.

Many were dying to see him return to the stage.

To them, his comedy remained the same and they were eager to still see it.

Some assumed he was even going to sell out his shows rather quickly.

To them, they were flabbergasted that the New York Times were equating his actions to far worse crimes.

Many just wanted to give him the chance to change and better himself before their own eyes.

In the meantime, it appears the comedian is still hanging around comedy clubs in New York City, as this Twitter user pointed out.

The thing is: boicot and blindly follow are not the only two options! I may not agree with somebody but still might find what he produces enjoyable! If i like one song and then find out that the author has punched somebody in the face (which is assault, much more probable than what louis did and much more serious of an offense, legally speaking), i don't magically stop liking that song! Do you? And even, do you check with every art, music, movies, comedy etc. producer on the internet to see if they have conduct a righteous life before liking them? Or do you just wait for the media to explode to follow the mass in disdaining someone? Sex is just something which is highlighted in this period, these last few years, so sex things make it to the mass media. But really, did you check with all your favoruite singers if they punched somebody in the face before liking them?

I'm pretty sure he did apologize after it became public. Without a doubt what he did was gross and inappropriate and he needed to go away for a while, but I dunno, if he's genuinely remorseful and wants to change, shouldn't he be allowed to? What exactly do people want, for him to starve to death in the streets? Because that's not a reasonable or realistic expectation. If he ends up jerking off in front of a group of women again after all of this then sure, nail him to the cross, but he should at least have a chance to prove he's learned his lesson.

>I'm pretty sure he did apologize after it became public.

Ehhh, not really. He made a post on Twitter about how what he did was wrong and explaining why it was wrong, but it was notably absent of actually saying "I'm sorry", or him doing anything to try to make it up to the women in quesiton in some form. This is why he never really left the shit-list. Compare that to Dan Harmon who was in a kind of similar MeToo situation, but who apologised straight away and talked privately with the woman in question, and he pretty much bounced back straight away too.

Personally, I wish he would just do that. I really like Louis CK's comedy, I think he was one of the absolute best stand-ups of all time and I was glad to see him being successful. But then this happened and while he didn't handle it with Kevin-Spacey-levels of idiocy, he hasn't really gone fully the other way either. I wish he would because I'd like to be able to see his specials on Netflix again, and be able to go to his live performances again at some point without having to hide it from everyone.

The attendance will be proof of how people still actually care about the misconducts.

Luis CK did apologize.

But that's just it, this isn't about making an apology.

This is about being able to shut him down whenever, and however the Woke Inquisition wants.

It's about keeping him down on his knees forever, and using him as an example to terrorize everyone else into line.

There can be no forgiveness, just eternal exile.

The reason they're so furious, is because his refusal to remain cancelled makes it apparent that their power is an illusion.

I don't follow CK. I don't approve of what he did, and I likely agree with him on little.

Even so, I might give his material a watch just to spite the wanabee theocrats.
