If you thought you were having a tough time coping with our current lockdown, allow us to introduce you to a bulldog named Big Poppa who took over Twitter today due to his incredibly relatable disposition. In a tweet from his costume designer owner named Rae Elle (@Raeelle), the adorable dog can be seen sad on his patio watching children from afar. Not only did Big Poppa receive an insane amount of attention in the form of over 60,000 tweets mentioning his name, he essentially was declared the mascot of the pandemic. May he carry us through our darkest days as we find a cure for him to finally play with the children in his building again.

After his image began to circulate on Twitter, people openly announced that they would die for the dog.

One user was willing to volunteer as tribute to catch the virus so that Big Poppa could return to his normal life.

His face inspired many to want to find a cure immediately.

One user argued that he might even be the cure to the whole thing.

Some valid questions were asked following his picture being posted to the site.

Who allowed anyone to hurt this dog's feelings?

May we all band together to defeat this terrible disease for Big Poppa…and the world.
