As more Coronavirus cases increase in the United States, tours, parades, and music festivals have been either cancelled completely, or postponed. After rumors started to spread that Coachella would soon follow SXSW's decision to cancel, it wasn't until last night that it was confirmed. Taking to their official Twitter account to confirm, Coachella declared that the festival would in fact not happen in April and instead, be postponed to October. This led many users to celebrate the change in season, mock those who were planning to attend anyway, and meme the hell out of this breaking news.

Many were excited that the festival would be taking place in October.

Some were happy to suggest new ways of partying during Halloween.

One user even suggested a new performer to be added to the lineup.

Cigarettes and costumes will be on full display.

Several welcomed the delay to help them with their fitness.

As well as the financial constraint from attending the expensive festival.

Bank accounts are celebrating everywhere.

One user was happy to remake the official poster.

Of course, many users couldn't help but mock the festival for existing in the first place.

Every Frank Ocean fan that didn't have a ticket to the festival is now having a wonderful day.

Our Instagram feeds will be free for two entire weekends.

Here's hoping all of the social media influencers will enjoy their much-needed break.

Also, if you plan to still attend, definitely make sure to prepare yourself.

Hey the only good thing coronavirus has wrought this year. I remember this video from cochella last year where everyone was on their phones taking selfies. Self absorbed twats.
