This Week On TikTok: Sexy Willy Wonka, Parents Seeking Revenge And Dogs Just Getting Cuter
TikTok continues to overflow with emotions of anger, betrayal and horniness.
This week began with the blatant theft of beloved roller-skater Ana Coto's "Jenny from the Block" video by Fortnite for a new emote. It only got worse when a Willy Wonka impersonator on TikTok went viral on Twitter for being "sexy." The equally horrible trend of insulting friends continued but thankfully went into the realm of absurd and less personal. On the positive side, viewers got to giggle at parents getting revenge on their kids and spend some quality time taking videos of their dogs.
Just Visiting
After weeks of cruel family pranks like the Facetime Photo Pranks and the TikTok Parents Police Prank going viral, parents are now fantasizing their revenge in skits about Visiting Their Kid's House for the First Time. These videos set to the classic Interior Crocodile Alligator show parents finally being able to trash their children's house after dealing with years of cleaning after their kids. The satisfying trend became popular enough to be featured on TikTok's discover page.
TikTok Willy Wonka
A TikToker who cosplays Willy Wonka from the 2005 Tim Burton film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory originally played by Johnny Depp is becoming a sex icon for reasons unknown. TikTok Willy Wonka or DukeDepp has accumulated over three million followers in three months and became a trending topic of conversation on Twitter. TikTokers must not know about the real Johnny Depp?
Disney Dog Filter Challenge
The most exciting thing to happen to TikTok this week is when one Facebook user discovered that Snapchat's "cartoon" filter works on dogs! Soon after the discovery, TikTokers took part in the Disney Dog Filter Challenge using the filter on their dog to make them look as if they were a Disney character in videos using the Disney intro theme song. The only downside is that it rarely works on cats.
For Me Challenge
Some savage rapid-fire insults have been being thrown on TikTok for the last several weeks in the For Me Challenge. Friends are telling each other toxic things like "it's the bad breath for me" or "its the daddy issues for me" for clout. This week the trend has turned a little more obscure and TikTokers are roasting things like inanimate objects and animals instead.
Ana Coto's Fornite Emote
Roller-blading TikTok goddess Ana Coto took the platform by storm and caused a surge in roller-skate purchases this year. It's no surprise that when Fornite released a teaser for their emote Freewheelin' many immediately realized that it was a rip-off of Coto's most viral TikTok video. Now her the influencer's fans and herself are demanding some at least some credit or acknowledgment for the TikToker.
