The Many Different Reactions to Hickenlooper Dropping Out of the 2020 Presidential Race
After declaring his candidacy in March 2019, former Governor of Colorado John Hickenlooper announced this week in a YouTube video that he was ending his campaign to seek the Democratic nomination for President of the United States in 2020. In addition, Hickenlooper revealed that he might be interested in running for the Senate instead.
First came the responses from those who were sad to see him go.
Governor @Hickenlooper didn't enter this race to advance an ideology, he got in to serve others. That's why he first ran for mayor of Denver, and that's why Coloradans elected him governor--twice. I'm grateful for his commitment to public service. We need more leaders like him.

Some might have actually thought that he may have passed away.
Then came the responses from people who had no idea who he was.

Luckily for us, we still have over 20 candidates left and it looks like only Andrew Yang can name them.
We asked @AndrewYang to name as many candidates as he could in one minute. With a State Fair lemonade in hand, he got 23 of 24: https://t.co/vixEFuWQw8

I forget…
Is this the guy who claimed that it was possible for the Federal Government to disarm the US because if the people didn't submit he would nuke them?

I looked it up.
It was Eric Swalwell who made that gaffe.
