The Best Reactions To The 2019 Emmys
Last night, the 71st Primetime Emmys were held in Los Angeles and hosted by FOX, which allowed for a very strange start to the evening. First, Twitter couldn't help but notice how much promotion the network was doing for the The Masked Singer, with the stars of the show parading on the red carpet. Second, because there was no host, FOX had Homer Simpson start the show to only be struck by a piano, which led Anthony Anderson of Black-ish to jump on stage and talk to a producer who then found Bryan Cranston to finish the opening.
Following this bizarre introduction, the show continued on its unexpected path by awarding Game of Thrones only two Emmys, and gifting Fleabag with several awards instead of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, which many critics had predicted. Below are some of the best reactions to the night's many twists and turns.
D'oh! Please welcome your #Emmys host with the most, Homer Simpson. 🤩 #Emmys2019 https://t.co/a0MO6wEkNr

Despite not having a host, FOX did pair up some of the best people to present at the ceremony.

However, the real winner of the night was Phoebe Waller-Bridge who received three Emmys for Fleabag and set Twitter on fire when presenting alongside Barry star, Bill Hader.
Hi, may I get a romcom with Phoebe Waller Bridge and Bill Hader please and thank you #Emmys pic.twitter.com/1KU2qMhsur

Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Bill Hader should have just had a conversation on stage for 3 hours and then at the end read out a list of the winners names and then we roll credits on a much superior version of this night

I’m up for a Phoebe Waller-Bridge / Bill Hader season of True Detective
