Last weekend's massive leak of old Nintendo data exposed a bevy of never-before-seen Nintendo content that had fans abuzz at the possibility of what could have been.

The headline-grabbing discovery was the inclusion of Luigi data in Super Mario 64, confirming one of video games' longest-running conspiracies, L Is Real 2401. However, other major leaks including unused Pokémon sprites and early Yoshi designs had fans cackling at the alternate version of history we could have had, one where Arceus looked like a grey blob and we had a second Star Fox game. The leaks led to a swath of memes and parodies based on the discoveries within.
