Ryan Reynolds Reintroduces Rick Moranis To The World
As we head into another month of this apocalyptic year, it's rare to find any uplifting news to share. Well, that changed today when Ryan Reynolds released a commercial for Mint Mobile, a company he recently became an owner of. So, what exactly is Mint Mobile? Well, it's a prepaid carrier mobile service, but that doesn't really matter because the only thing people wanted to talk about after seeing the commercial was Rick Moranis, who magically popped up halfway through the video.
Earlier this year, Disney announced that Moranis would be returning after a 24-year hiatus from acting to appear in the fourth Honey, I Shrunk The Kids sequel, which sent shockwaves around around Twitter. Naturally, his name began to trend again today, after people celebrated seeing his familiar face after all of these years. Moranis' decision to step away from acting was made after his wife passed away from cancer back in 1991. Since then, fans have admired his honorable choice to raise his children instead, but have sincerely missed his presence throughout the comedy world. Now that we know Ryan Reynolds has the capability to bring back Rick Moranis, perhaps we should have him be in charge of finding a vaccine?

Moranis' name quickly started to trend after the commercial started to spread around Twitter.
Can this be like a trade? We hear more from Rick Moranis and less of Susan Sarandon? pic.twitter.com/ddds8gYWU5

A request for more of this partnership was placed.
I hope
VancityReynolds has begun a trend of paying Rick Moranis good money just to show up and be Rick Moranis in things. For no reason other than the reason of Rick Moranis. Because Rick Moranis. #rickmoranis
— Chuck Wendig (

Perhaps the Ghostbusters sequel needed to be 30 seconds long?

All in all, many of us finally felt joy today after a very heavy year.
I just saw Rick Moranis in a cell phone commercial, and it made me incredibly happy. He's still as loveably goofy as ever.Is the curse of 2020 finally being broken?

And, we now have a new holiday.
How the actual fuck did
VancityReynolds get THE Rick Moranis?! I hadn't realised how much I'd missed him until I saw his face just then. Happy Moranis-mas everyone. https://t.co/jV94ukJ637
— Jazzy Beluga (

We're so glad you trended for all the right reasons today, Rick.
I saw Rick Moranis was trending and I said--and I quote, "Don't you f**king do this, 2020"--and then I realized, no, it's REALLY Rick Moranis. https://t.co/1qcmWYDg94
