Every week in May was dominated by one specific meme. The month kicked off with parodies of the utterly bizarre Don't Lean In tweet saying men leaning towards their significant others was a sign of weakness, followed by the onslaught of Abby Choke Edits and then the Sailor Moon Redraws. The last month of May 2020 undoubtedly belonged to the Swole Doge vs. Cheems template, which revived the classic "things then/things now" meme genre with the latest ironic Doge edits.
The week also saw the advent of Yummer, a nightmare unused character found in a SpongeBob flash game, as well as a new spin on the Ideal Male Body template with Dear Men….
