Kylie Jenner Asks For Movie Recs From Anxious Proletariat
The time of Coronavirus quarantines has been an absolute golden era for celebrities making asses of themselves online. From Gal Gadot's awful "Imagine" to Vanessa Hudgens saying not to worry too much about Corona because people are gonna die anyway to Sia trying to heal the world with word art to Priyanka Chopra clapping silently on her balcony like a ghost that haunts a Victorian manor, it seems obvious the wealthy celebrity class is vastly out of touch with common folk who are worried about their health and livelihoods.
Kylie Jenner, who has roughly a gazillion dollars and has never been known for her ability to relate to the less well-off among us, received a fair share of online roasting when she took to social media to ask for movie recommendations as she social distances in her luxurious home.
While her question was innocuous enough, the accompanying selfie showcasing her lavish lifestyle (and the fact she's a Kardashian), led Twitter to offer a few films that might learn her a thing or two about what happens to those who hoard wealth without consideration for the less privileged.
Others took a less political route and decided to go straight for gag responses.
Most of all, people were keen on suggesting that instead of watching a movie, Jenner consider spending a small percentage of her family's enormous wealth to help those in need during the pandemic.
Ah, celebs: they're not like us.
